Parcel Forwarding from the UK to Sweden - Shopping Guide
Parcel Forwarding from the UK to Sweden - Shopping Guide
Sweden has one of the highest rates of online shopping in Europe, and Swedish consumers have a long-standing interest in British brands, British fashion and the kind of heritage goods that Britain does particularly well. The problem is that a lot of British retailers either do not ship to Sweden at all, or charge international delivery rates that make smaller purchases hard to justify. With a free Send2Hub address at our warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent, you shop from any British store as a domestic customer, then we forward everything to Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö or wherever you are.
Why Swedish Shoppers Buy from British Retailers
The first reason is access. Boots, Primark, Dunelm, Marks and Spencer Food and hundreds of independent British brands simply do not have a Swedish presence and do not ship internationally. The only way to get their products is through a forwarding address in Britain.
The second reason is price. British retail prices in pounds sterling are often competitive for Swedish buyers paying in Swedish kronor, particularly for premium skincare, British heritage brands and fashion. When the exchange rate is favourable, the saving over Swedish equivalents can be meaningful even after accounting for customs charges.
The third reason is range. British stores carry product lines, limited editions and seasonal collections that never make it to Swedish distribution. Anyone who follows British fashion or beauty closely will recognise the frustration of seeing something available on a British website that simply does not exist locally.
British Brands That Swedish Shoppers Order via Send2Hub
Heritage clothing and outdoor wear
Barbour waxed jackets and quilted gilets have a devoted following in Sweden, where the climate suits them well and the British heritage angle resonates. Hunter Wellington boots, Clarks footwear and Hackett London are also consistent favourites. These brands are available in Sweden through some stockists, but the full range and competitive pricing are reliably found through British retail. Barbour.com, Clarks.co.uk and John Lewis all deliver to British addresses and the selection is far broader than what reaches the Swedish market.
Fashion and clothing
Next, Reiss, Ted Baker, ASOS and Marks and Spencer are popular with Swedish buyers who want British style at British prices. Marks and Spencer in particular has a strong following for its knitwear, formalwear and suit separates, which offer quality that is hard to find at the same price point in Sweden. Primark has no online store but its physical presence in Britain makes it accessible through a forwarding address and our Shop and Ship service.
Skincare and beauty
Boots No7 is one of the most-requested products by Swedish customers using Send2Hub. The range is only sold through Boots, which does not ship to Sweden. Liz Earle, Elemis, Charlotte Tilbury and REN Clean Skincare are all popular forwards, with British pricing in pounds often undercutting what Swedish distributors charge. Note that perfumes and aerosol products are on our prohibited list and cannot be forwarded. Creams, serums, cleansers and oils are fine. See our guide to British skincare brands for international buyers for more detail.
Homeware and ceramics
Emma Bridgewater pottery, Portmeirion tableware and The White Company homeware collections have a following among Swedish buyers who appreciate British craft quality. These brands are either unavailable or priced significantly higher in Sweden than they are at source. Ceramics and glassware need careful handling — read our guide to shipping fragile items from Britain before ordering.
British food and grocery
Non-perishable British food products have a loyal following among Swedish expats and British nationals living in Sweden. Marks and Spencer Food, Fortnum and Mason, Yorkshire Tea, Marmite and British biscuit brands are all regularly forwarded. Always check that products are non-perishable and permitted under EU food import rules before ordering.
Second-hand and vintage — eBay and Vinted
eBay and Vinted in Britain have an enormous inventory of vintage clothing, pre-owned designer goods, football shirts and collectibles that Swedish buyers cannot access directly because most sellers only ship domestically. Your Send2Hub address works with any British eBay or Vinted seller. See our guide to Vinted in Britain for international buyers.
British Sale Events Worth Planning Around
British sale events offer deeper discounts than Swedish equivalents and are worth planning purchases around. Boxing Day on 26 December consistently produces the steepest annual discounts on British fashion, homeware and beauty. Boots runs Advantage Card member sale events several times a year with 20 to 25 percent off beauty, including No7. Black Friday discounts on British fashion and electronics are often more aggressive than those available in Sweden. Hold your purchases in our free storage and consolidate into one shipment when everything has arrived — it reduces both the shipping cost and the number of customs handling charges you pay.

Swedish Customs — Moms and Import Charges
Sweden is a member of the European Union and applies EU customs rules to goods arriving from Britain. Swedish VAT, known as moms, stands at 25 percent as the standard rate. A reduced rate of 12 percent covers food and hotel accommodation. Books and newspapers carry 6 percent.
From 1 July 2026, the EU introduced a flat €3 duty per product category on all parcels valued at €150 or below entering from non-EU countries. A parcel containing two different product categories pays €6. This applies to shipments from Britain to Sweden along with every other EU destination. For parcels above €150, standard EU tariff rates apply, though goods genuinely originating in Britain may qualify for reduced rates under the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
Consolidation reduces the total customs burden — one shipment means one set of handling charges rather than several. Use our customs duty estimator to work out expected charges before you ship. For full logistics and carrier details, see our Sweden shipping page.
