EU Customs Changes — Important Notice for EU Shipments
From 1 July 2026, the European Union has introduced a new customs duty on low-value parcels entering the EU. A flat customs duty of €3 applies per item category (HS code) for parcels with a declared value of €150 or less. This is a temporary measure in place until 1 July 2028 and affects shipments from the UK and other non-EU countries to any EU member state. This change is separate from VAT, which already applied to all EU imports.
Additional notice for Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg:
For shipments to Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg, Send2Hub is required to collect VAT upfront before dispatch. After paying for your shipment, you will receive a separate notification with the VAT charge for your specific shipment. Your parcel will be dispatched once this additional VAT charge has been paid.

Important notice — US customs charges now apply to all shipments
Due to recent changes in US import regulations, all parcels shipped from the UK to the United States are now subject to customs duties and import charges — regardless of value. There is no longer a duty-free threshold for parcels entering the USA from the UK.
Here is how this affects your shipment with Send2Hub:
Step 1 — You pay for your shipment as normal through your Send2Hub account.
Step 2 — After payment, you will receive a separate notification with the calculated US customs charge for your specific shipment.
Step 3 — Your parcel will be dispatched to the USA once the additional customs charge has been paid.
Estimated customs charge: approximately 15% of the declared goods value. The exact amount depends on the type of goods, declared value and applicable US tariff classification. This charge is collected upfront to ensure your parcel clears US customs without delay or being held at the border. If you have any questions about the customs charge for your specific shipment, please contact us before requesting your shipment.

Royal Mail international export services update
Following the recent cyber incident, we are trialing operational workarounds and have started moving limited volumes of export parcels. While we trial these operational workarounds, we continue to ask customers not to submit any new export parcels into the network. Our initial focus will be to clear mail that has already been processed and is waiting to be dispatched.
We are pleased to announce that we have resumed the export of letters which do not require a customs declaration to all international destinations. From 7pm Wednesday 18 January, customers will be able to start submitting international export letters which do not require a customs declaration into the Royal Mail network again through all channels including Royal Mail post boxes and Post Office branches.
Royal Mail continues to work with external experts, the security authorities and regulators to mitigate the impact of this cyber incident, with a focus on restoring all services for export letters and parcels. Our import operations continue to perform a full service with some minor delays. Domestic services remain unaffected.
We apologise to impacted customers for any disruption this incident may be causing. Please be assured our teams are working around the clock to fully resolve this situation.
